Love & Gratitude towards CID and the Team. Today, I want to share my deep love and gratitude for something that has been more than just a TV show for me – CID. Join me in this journey of reminiscing, appreciating, and expressing heartfelt thanks to the incredible CID team.
About me:
CID has a record in itself with 21 years of Glory on television. Along with it has 111 Minutes longest shot that was filmed without any cuts which has etched on the Guinness Book of World Records and The Limca Book of Records.
As I was a kid, I did not know much about social media, I was familiar with Facebook but didn't knew about CID cast presence on it.
From 2016, there was uncertain crisis with the CID show. The schedule was not properly maintained. The show time was 10 pm which irregular scheduled at 10:15 farther 10:17 to 10:20 and 10:30.
In 2018, the shocking news of CID off-air knocked. We started Twitter campaign to #SaveCID. On 22 October 2018, It was officially declared by Daya sir about the off-air of CID by channel. #SaveCID campaign was Trending in the Top 10 for the week. The news portal picks our fans tweets. There was a huge heartbreak among all of us. As everything was going well. CID had good TRP compared to other shows on the same channel yet why is CID off-air? Might be due to time issues, there be some extent of low TRP. The reason of off-air was communicated to audience which left us shocked.

CID, the iconic Crime Thriller Show that graced Indian television screens for 21 remarkable years, started on January 21, 1998, and bid farewell on October 27, 2018. Produced by the visionary B.P. Singh Sir, the show featured Shivaji Satam sir (ACP Pradyuman), Dayanand Shetty sir (Daya), Aditya Srivastava sir (Abhijeet), Dinesh Phadnis sir (Freddy) and the brilliant forensic expert Dr. Salunkhe, portrayed by Narendra Gupta sir. These individuals transformed CID into a historical and unforgettable masterpiece. CID is well known for the dialogues between ACP Pradyuman and Daya "KUCH TO GADBAD HAI" & "DAYA DARWAZA TOD DO''.
Memories of CID:
I started watching CID maybe when I was 9 years old. I still remember the first episode which made me a fan of CID.
The first episode of CID which I watched on TV for the first time, Everyone at my home were sleeping and I was watching alone. ΰ€΅ो ΰ€¬ोΰ€²ΰ€€े ΰ€Ήै ΰ€¨ा, First Impression is Last Impression. This episode created a special place for CID, which made me a fan of CID - the Love, Friendship and Togetherness.
The way ACP Sir's commanding question to Vivek: "AC DUNK mai jayega kya... dekh risk hai jayega kya ?"
Vivek confidently replied: "Yes Sir..."

ACP Sir to Abhijeet: "Abhijeet tum jao uske piche...! baccha hai...!"

Daya to ACP Sir: "Sir aap jao..!"
ACP Sir replied: "Nahi tum karo Abhijeet..."
Daya said to ACP Sir: Phir inko to janne do... (to all team)
Freddy replied: "Nahi sir, marenge to saath mai marenge...πππππ"
And then came the climax –
(Abhijeet with a calm, deciding which wire to cut)
Abhijeet: "Mai yellow wali cut karta hu..."
Daya instigate: "Rukho... Red wali cut karo" and Abhijeet without saying anything Cut Red wire and the bomb diffused. Lots of HAPPINESS in the team which gives Goosebumps now too...
Atlast ACP sir commanded: "Tum dono ne bohot badha kam kar diya...!"
Abhijeet replied: "Sir jeet humari nahi Jeet CID ki hai...!"

From that moment to the present day. Episode 1 to 1547 - a span of 21 years on television and 25 Years in our hearts. I have watched all the episodes, yet I watch the repeat episodes.
All episodes are not just entertainment but education. You can learn scientific from forensic too. There's some misconceptions around CID as it shows anything which is not in reality but each episode is crafted by B P Sir and the writers, serves as a lesson in various facets of life.
Would like to share, there's an episode wherein there's mentioned of my disability (muscular dystrophy). The situation suffered at that time was some hospital and doctor where also not aware of muscular dystrophy as disease but CID knew it and mentioned it very well.
Beyond the crime-solving aspect, CID taught us courage, bravery, investigation and valuable life lessons. How to be a good friend and good person. All the characters has taught personality development lessons. I personally is fan of Trio (ACP, Abhijeet and Daya) as it express π¨π¦π¦father-son love or friendly nature among them rather than senior and junior clashes. Friendship between Abhijeet and Daya is cherished π€. Other characters are Best too. π¨π»π¬Dr Salunke and π΅π»♂️Abhijeet nok-jhokπ£️, π©❤️π¨Abhijeet - Tarika relationship, The unsuccessful relationship of Daya - Shreya which hurts the most π, Fun with Freddy - Pankaj fear of bhoot π½, Friendship of Tarika - Purvi - Shreya π... OMG... and the most unbeatable character DCP Chitrole our beloved B P Sir πΊπ»... Applause and Thank you so much to all of you for your tremendous efforts.
The Love for each other is seen in their eyes, every another show has jealousy, rudeness, fights and melodrama but here there's just love for the team not only onscreen but also offscreen. π❤️❣️
I was trying hard to meet the CID team, I visited Mumbai Film City with my family to meet the CID team. But didn't find any set of CID but found TMKOC set and click picture over there.
CID Off-air Disheartened:
Since 2016 to 2017, Frustrated yet passionate, I came across upon CID Fan Page Groups on Facebook. We were not sure about the actual time. We find out scheduled time on the official website and switch to the channel at time. I discovered a change.org campaign for proper time initiated by fans. I signed the petition to restore order to the show's schedule. I joined Twitter to be supportive member of CID fan groups. I discovered Twitter have celebrities account and followed CID team. Alongwith, followed CID team on Instagram and Facebook too. I joined the core fan group on Twitter and today we all are so good friends. We are from different states, some are from abroad yet we have a good friendship.
Even today, the wait for CID's return persists. The hope for the team's reunion on television or perhaps an OTT platform remains alive. To the CID team – our message is clear: We Fans Are Always With You.
In those days, I didn't expect anything, the only wish was for the return of CID, by god grace I received an unexpected love from the CID Team which became the most cherished gift. Thank you for unexpected happiness from you all, especially Shivaji sir, whose kind-hearted, polite, and lovely resonated beyond the television screen. His appreciation for my devotion and love towards CID became a source of unexpected happiness, etching his warmth into my life.
To the entire CID cast and crew – Daya sir, Aditya sir, Dinesh sir, Vivek sir, Shraddha ma'am, Ajay Sir, Ansha Ma'am, Narendra sir, Directors and Producers, – your down-to-earth and kind-hearted nature has left an indelible mark. Each one of you played a role in crafting a lifetime treasure for a common fan like me. Your messages, comments, and replies not only to CID posts but also my personal achievements made me overwhelmed. Your encouragement has been motivating me to reach for my goals with renewed strength.
Thank you all for this immeasurable love. It's a treasure that I carry in my heart, a constant reminder of the impact CID has had on not just my television screen but on my life's narrative.
In my childhood, I was passionate to become CID officer however, the limitations imposed by my disability redirected my path. Despite this shift, the CID team continued to be my guiding light.
While CID may have bid farewell to television screens, it has an lasting impact in my life. The unexpected gifts came in the form of appreciation from the CID team, especially Shivaji Sir. The newfound friends in the CID fan group. As a fan and admirer, I received unexpected love and blessings but yet my heart holds a hope – the hope to meet the CID team in person. I desired for the day when CID makes a successful comeback on television. To the universe, I whisper, "Hey, God, make this happen. π"
Today we marks the anniversary of CID, a day cherished by fans who unite in celebration through hashtags, tweets, and Instagram posts. In the spirit of this occasion, my tribute to CID unfolds through this blog. In the journey of my career, I may not showcase my CID devotion on my Instagram account daily, but let it be known – I am, was, and will always be a CID fan with pride.
