My Digital Marketing Journey: A Story of How I Kickstarted My Career

While pursuing a Bachelor's in Management Studies with a specialisation in Marketing, I excel in my knowledge and skills in the field of Marketing. In 2nd year, I was introduced to Digital Marketing. We were having Digital Marketing subject in the course curriculum for the 5th semester i.e. in the third year. Whenever I was introduced to Digital Marketing, I had a lot of interest and thus, I started gaining knowledge and skills about it. Those were the days of corona and lockdown. I explored the courses from Google, UpGrad, TCS and other popular certificate courses. I did a lot of research about it, I worked hard to upskill myself for Digital Marketing. I was managing Social media and Graphics design work of some small-scale businesses with Digital Marketing. The skills of Digital Marketing introduced me to me once again. I was happy pursuing Digital Marketing.

"Pursuing is not enough, Practical application is what we admire."

Due to corona and lockdown, everything was stuck, everyone was frustrated, and businesses were closed but I opted for this as an opportunity and started approaching clients with the vision to bring their business online. In digital marketing, it's very important to consider, research and evaluate the clients you want to work with. There were some errors which I was facing, maybe due to my disability I have some restrictions while doing activities. With due consideration to these errors, I started an Advertising Agency (VJK Advertising Agency) with a team of 2 more people with me.

After some effort towards client collaboration, we successfully had a client. Since the first client to the agency till now we had 5+ successful collaborations. Here, + denotes freelancing work rather than contract-based work. Some clients visit us, inform us about their requirements, we fulfil them and we get paid for it. We had an amazing and everlasting experience with all our clients. Today's market is competitive, and in a while, new business is added to the social network. In terms of results, we had a good response: follow rate, profile visits, likes, shares and replies which were worth the budget.

3 years of experience, we have revised our vision, mission and goals for the benefit of clients and our portfolio.
